FORMATION BADGES
THE BELGIAN MILITARY LIAISON MISSION
1944 - 1945
THE BELGIAN MILITARY LIAISON SERVICE
1945 -1947
The Belgian
Military Liaison Mission and subsequently the Belgian Military
Liaison Service
had no badge of its own.
The only sub-unit
that had a formation badge of its own was
the "OFFICE DE RECUPERATION ECONOMIQUE", called O.R.E.
Several
Allied HQ's authorised the Belgian military to wear the badge of
the formation
to which they were assigned.
Some HQ's did
not give this authorisation, but then the Belgian military had a
breast pocket badge
made with the formation badge incorparated.
Some Liaison
detachments had a breast pocket badge made once they left the HQ,
and wore it on the right breast pocket as a souvenir.
The badges
and breast pocket badges that are shown here, are those from
which it is known
that they have been worn.
It is possible that some others may exist, but no information could be obtained.
THE OFFICE FOR ECONOMIC RECUPERATION "O.R.E". An
arm title together with a Formation Badge was worn. |
